US Sets Another Single-Day Covid-19 Coronavirus Record

 * Johns Hopkins University reports record number of single-day infections in US
 * On Friday, 184,514 Americans tested positive for COVID-19, latest data shows
 * For the first time since pandemic started, cases are on the rise in all 50 states
 * New Mexico and Oregon have imposed near-total lockdown amid surge in cases
 * North Dakota imposed its first-ever mandatory mask ordinance this week
 * But many states are still resisting lockdown measures that could hurt economy

All 50 states reported an increase in newly reported daily coronavirus cases this week as hard-hit areas that have resisted lockdown measures like North Dakota imposed ordinances requiring masks.

For the first time since the pandemic started earlier this year, there have been a reported increase in cases throughout the country, according to CBS News.

While the statistics are grim, the likelihood that a coronavirus infection will prove fatal has dropped by nearly a third since April due to improved treatment, researchers at the University of Washington’s Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) said on Thursday.

WNU like the MSM is doing so much to scare people to death that I am positive that ten 90 years olds will die instead of the usual 2 per day.

Besides it is the dutyof old Americans to die per people like Zeke Emanuel. He says living past 75 is a waste. Besides they have to make room for all the 150 and 180 years old that voted in Detroit. There are just so many of those that we'll have to empty out 1/2 the nursing homes in the country to somehow house them.

Still haven't figured out why this virus is scary. There are the spikes. It has a few more spikes than the usual coronavirus. So far the extra spikes thing has been hand waved. No models that I have seen.

Elon Musk got tested 4 times in one day.

2 tests were negative and 2 tests were positive. That tells you all you need to know

Been nice to know what the removed comment said.

It could've been that the PCR test magnifies similar the viral fragments corona viruses that are not as deadly. Did other corona viruses just stop making the rounds,m because their cuz was out making the rounds?

Or it could have been about the number of counts the PCR test is allowed to run before reading it. Should it be 25, 35 or 40?

So What, supposedly the numbers are going up, question who are giving us these numbers, are they real, if they are why is always so vague with no context at all. I still do not know anyone who has test positive or gotten this virus or know anyone who knows anyway that has it. I smell bullshit in the air.

Trump hasn't attended a coronavirus task force meeting in five months and is taking no role in combatting the surge in the disease

SD
the numbers are real. most of us do know people who have contracted it. And the dozen Trump people? and the 150 secret service people?

I was in South Dakota. I did not see a problem. People I saw were wearing masks.

Back home all I see are nursing home residents dying. Probably infected by CNA's and non CNA's who vote Democrat.

The grossest nursing home story I have heard was told by a retired Navy Chief. He said that at the nursing home his stepson worked at they shoved an old women's plumbing back inside after it had prolapsed (telescoped) out.

They used broomsticks.

I was very impressed by his stepson. Daddy had to hang a door for sonny, because sonny did not or could not hang a door. How could a person not know how to hang a door?

COVID hot spots + SD = meat packing plants.

Meat packing plants have lots of ... foreigners.

Are they all legal?

Says who, you didn't answer the question. WHO is giving these numbers out and is giving them in such vague detail?

I do not know a single person who has it, nor do I know any person that knows anyone that has it or had it.

This has been one weird thing from the get go, from what I can tell its just a flu and before any leftist zealots respond - 230k deaths out of 330 MILLION people over Nine Months. I have doubts these numbers are correct.

Also for the Zealots, I have one crisp dollar bill that if they created a testing program for the Flu that they have for the China Virus it would have the same fucking results.

Any takers?

That was the person who blogs (?) at Extra_Bad_Shit.

"Says who, you didn't answer the question."

They never do.

There were 1 to 3 people at the local middle school that had it or were related to someone attending the local middle school. So about a dozen to a score of kids had ti quarantine,

Outside of people in nursing homes (~ 80%) and a few people above 65, no one has died.

I visited South Dakota not long ago stopping in one mid-sized city. I saw the Corn Palace which I thought was a gaudy or pretentious (or something) concept. I thought it was along the lines of the world biggest mud ball attraction. It is not. There were actually several vegetable palaces. built to advertise the productivity of the land and encourage people to settle there. The designer of the palace for 2 or 3 decades was a native America professor. Now it is the students at the local university. The Palace is actually culturally significant. It is a must see attraction if you are passing through that way. Don't stay at the Ramada Inn. The carpet is old and stale. The room locks look like they are from the 1990s. It almost looks like a Cold War Era relic.

I saw no problems in South Dakota.

There are no problems, where I live, except among elderly, who are probably expectant anyway, if a person is honest about actuarial tables,
