American Taxpayers Have Spent $161 Million On Keeping 9/11 Mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed In Prison And Alive

Guantanamo Bay has grown into what seems to be the most expensive prison on earth

Built nearly 18 years ago to detain suspected terrorists on a remote island off Cuba, Guantanamo Bay has grown into what seems to be the most expensive prison on earth.

The U.S. government has spent an estimated $161.5 million housing the suspected mastermind of the 9/11 terror attacks – Khalid Sheikh Mohammed. And up until Saturday, Mohammed was to receive a coronavirus vaccine so that he could be tried and put to death, if convicted.

Captured in 2003, Sheikh Mohammed confessed to being a mastermind behind some of the most prolific terror attacks in the past few decades, most notably the 9/11 attacks.

WNU Editor: the cost of keeping a prisoner at Guantanamo is somewhere between $9.5 and $13 million per prisoner, per year. The prison currently has 40 inmates. That's compared to $78,000 spent per inmate at a "supermax" prison in Florence, Colo., home to some of the highest-risk prisoners in the U.S.

OK. THAT IS THE COST. KILL HIM? RELEASE HIM? cut costs?what, then is the point of telling us the costs?

What is the point?

One point is that to not make a choice is to make a choice.

The other point is that when you pile onto something to move your agenda on other things it has an deleterious effect.

Democrats literally salted the ground and ensured that none of these people would ever get a trial or be locked up for life as POW's.

Demanding that POW's be treated like common street criminals would work? Does that make sense? whatever intel capability the US would be exposed in court and made useless. But I think that is the end that many liberals wanted then and want now. On top of obliterating sources and methods, liberals would wage a full scale cultural war in the courts with the end goal of convicting the US.

So that is what these PWO's were never facing a military or civilian court. Liberals salted the ground.

He could be rotting in hell for free.

Fred or the troll pretending to be Fred is that stupid. I always believed that is these POW's were tried in civilian court, CIA sources and methods would be revealed or the war criminals would set free as the liberals intended.

So this guy's living expenses are so high that the money could be used to sustain a thousand families. Nice job.

So they either keep him alive to make a point, torture him with a shitty life and doing all this forget that what makes us different to them is that we don't do that kind of sh*t

If he's really guilty of planning an attack on 3,000 civilians, and there's clear evidence and proven in court, then I think a death sentence would be better for all involved. He's been in there a long long time, spare him and the tax payers another decade or more.

But my guess is he attacked the wrong kind of people. Twin towers top floor people are connected and their business might very much overlap with the business of war... and drugs.. and torture

And that's a baaaaad game to be in and not die.

On the other hand, what do we know. Might have been an inside job for the war industry all along and he's getting his dck sucked and gets 5 star menus in there every day. Given the trust in the media, government and every large industry in the US, especially the finance and war machine industry which is an international label, this possibility -- of him living it up in there -- is equally possible.

I think that explains much of global and US society today. We might be ruled by incompetent psychopaths, or we're ruled by very competent psychopaths. Both equally likely from all we've seen.

;-)

Keep ducking, as a wise user here says

Seems like a massive troll effort there.

"he's getting his dck sucked and gets 5 star menus in there every""

Sure and there is no scuttle butt.

"If he's really guilty of planning an attack on 3,000 civilians, and there's clear evidence and proven in court, "

You do not need to have killed connected people to have that type of shit to come down on you 3,000 regular people is more than enough.

Missile and rockets for war have the same logistical needs and supply chain ad moonshots or Mars Mission. There is literally no need for War.

From Bush's 1st year agenda, Bush was all about trade with Mexico. Still now 2 decades later there seems to be a war lobby. Bunch of pikers compared to the CCP war lobby.
