CDC Predicts The US COVID-19 Death Toll Could Climb As High As 514,000 Within Four Weeks

The CDC predicts that the US COVID-19 death toll could climb as high as 514,000 within the next four weeks (bottom left). Some of the models it bases its predictions off of suggested there were be another 30,000 deaths by February 20, while others made more modest predictions of fewer than 5,000 deaths in the coming month

 * CDC's weekly projections predict the US COVID-19 death toll could rise to between 479,000 and 514,000 by February 20 - less than a month from now
 * As of Wednesday, the death toll already tops 425,000, including 3,990 fatalities in the past 24 hours. An average of 3,287 people are dying of coronavirus a day in the US
 * More than 25.4 million Americans have been infected with COVID-19 since the pandemic began, with 165,891 new cases diagnosed yesterday
 * New cases declined by 21% last week compared to the previous week and deaths declined by 4.4%.
 * Hospitalizations are down 15% this week compared to last with 108,957 people hospitalized for COVID-19 as of Tuesday

As many as 86,487 Americans are projected to die from the coronavirus in the next 24 days, the Biden administration's new CDC director warned during the first White House briefing of President Biden's coronavirus response team on Wednesday.

Dr Rochelle Walensky said the COVID-19 death toll is set to rise as high as 514,000 by February 20, meaning that an average of 3,697 people will die a day between now and then.

She added that cases, hospitalizations and deaths were all down last week compared to the previous week.

WNU Editor: On a positive note. U.S. infection numbers are going down .... Covid-19 numbers are dipping in the US, even as variants are lurking and the vaccine rollout lags (CNN). But in the event that these variants do take a hold in the U.S., and the vaccines are not that effective, these numbers will explode.

In San Diego county we have administered 210.000 vaccines, 93,000 of which have gone to people under the age of 50. That same under 50 demographic makes up just 3.8% of total deaths in the county.

We will count every cancer, diabetic and other deaths as COVID until WE, The Democrats, assume total control.

Having taken Monday and last week off, the local propaganda ministry decided to have a death roll call to scare us?

Death roll call of two. They were a 90 something and a 70 something. 70 something could mean 79. At 79 the person would have beaten life expectancy. For this we shut down the nation?

The 90 something is bumping up against the Hayflick limit. Again we are suppose to be scared?

The 90 something was in LTC. Probably means they were feeble and was expected to die in 5 months. A 90 something losing 0 to 5 months life is not a reason to beggar kids or 20 somethings.

Once again the press (our strumpets and street walkers) declined to tell us of pre-existing conditions.

When something like 90% of the population laves to 100, I will be very concerned if "old" people die at age 70 , 80, or 90.

If people are dying of respiratory illness within 1 or 2 or maybe even 3 standard deviations of life expectancy when most of them have pre-existing conditions. It is nothing to get hung about.
