Google Threatens To Withdraw Search Engine From Australia

Hong Kong (CNN Business) Google says it will shut down its search engine in Australia if a controversial bill designed to benefit the news media becomes law.

At a Senate hearing in Canberra on Friday, Google (GOOGL) Australia Managing Director Mel Silva said the draft legislation "remains unworkable," and would be "breaking" the way millions of users searched for content online.

"If this version of the Code were to become law, it would give us no real choice but to stop making Google Search available in Australia," she told lawmakers.

"That would be a bad outcome not just for us, but for the Australian people, media diversity and small businesses who use Google Search."

I've used duck duck go albeit on a limited basis with success. In my work I MUST have a good search engine and have been reluctant to embrace "change."

Perhaps we should be patient with other options until they're fully up to speed. Australia will do fine without Google. Will Google do fine without Australia?

Google will especially be in trouble if other countries follow suit. The American government can't protect them. Biden has dementia and America is on decline. Trump slowed the decline bit did not reverse it.

If Google wants to survive, it will need to begin to behave responsibly. A good place to start will be to encourage a full scale audit of the 2020 presidential election. Perhaps we'll learn that the systemic irregularities that benefited Democrats did not change the outcome. Until such an audit occurs no one will ever trust us.

Changing the search engine with a simple snap of the fingers seems a bit difficult and especially in bad conditions.
Having said that, Google needs to be challenged too.

Duck Duck Go is not superior.

It is the search engine. I use since August 2020. I have used Duck Duck Go before that but not consistently. I will not use Google gain until the de-NAZIfication of Google.

I am not on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram either.

Instagram Is Forcing Users to Follow Biden White House Account So That It’s Not So Pathetic Even When Users Repeatedly Un-Follow the Page

I plan on not doing business any Leftist group.

Duck Duck Go is not superior.

... but they do not track.

... and they do not limit your searches based on political correctness. With Google is you make certain searches in a topic area they do not like, they try to stop with a "Are you a bot" screen.

There are other search engines, Google is bluffing.

Australians vote no to Google. Hopefully if we can get the ball rolling then other countries will follow and google will take a hit, forcing it to reconsider their twisted agenda.
