What's the point? They're only going to be removed and/or ignored by all. Even symbolism makes no difference. Trump will be or won't be convicted by the Senate. I'd estimate 60/40 odds of conviction by the Senate and even if he isn't he's not going to be able to run again or have any influence in US leadership.

You have a point and I agree with you. That said, it will be always a difficulty to explain why US has to cancel theses sanctions. Biden will show weakness and that's important for future decision against China.

Biden also knows he's expected to "show weakness" and he knows China "has the goods" against his son and he expects to "be tested" by Russia and China. Furthermore he knows that all foreign leaders know his team stole the election. At the behest of his team, a cyber attack against Solar Winds has been invented and blamed on Russia and his team came up with a "Reichstag fire" incident that they blamed on team Trump even though it was their operatives who did it. As such, Biden and his team will act rough against China on day one. They've already tried to act tough against Russia and failed to impress. I'm sure China isn't going to be impressed either but a father must protect his son. God help us all!!
When Biden is there, he knows he shows weakness. Sometime after mid or late afternoon, he not there.
