A convoy of 40 trucks and armor vehicles said to have entered Syria from Iraq A large US military convoy entered northeastern Syria on Thursday, Syrian state news agency SANA reports, citing sources on the ground.

According to the report, the convoy included some 40 trucks and armored vehicles and was backed from the air by helicopters.

It entered Syria from Iraq via the al-Waleed crossing to bring arms and logistical equipment to the bases in Hasakeh and Deir Ezzor provinces.

Other local media report that such maneuvers are not unusual as the US often moves transfers equipment between Iraq and Syria.

WNU Editor: They are calling this a normal allocation of U.S. military assets. I am not too sure. The timing so soon after the inauguration makes me wonder if this was ordered and/or expedited by the new administration to send a message to Syria and its allies.

The war party and its attendant body bags are back.

We have no reason to be in Syria none and being in Syria does great harm to the USA.

The Syrians in conjunctions with the Iranians and Russian can handles what is left of ISIS, the handful that survived and the new recruits coming in from other countries.

A good reason to be in Syria would be to protect the Kurds long term. It does not make sense to protect them short term and the pack up and leave. That would be seen as betrayal by the Kurds and the rest of the World. It would damage America's ability to make alliances.

Protecting the Kurds IMO would mean a federated state or a Kurdish nation. ISIS, Saddam Hussein and the Turks have all practiced genocide against the Kurds in the last few decades. The Shia controlled government might not have an active genocide campaign, but they are nonetheless oppressing the Kurds (Sunnis too) and could change their tune as soon as the world looks away. Given history, I think a Kurdish nation makes sense, unless you do not give a damn about Kurds living or dying. I think the latter is true in most of Washington and the world. There is no money in a Kurdish state for them, so what do they care.

Not forthrightly enunciating our reason for being in Syria does much harm to the American body politic. You have to state the reason for being there, for being in a state of war. It can't be 'for reasons'. If you do not give a reason(s), right or wrongly they will assume it will be to keep the MIC geared up for the benefit of top 1 percenters in government and in industry. How do you argue otherwise?

If you give a reason, then there are metrics explicitly or implicitly stated. metrics that DC can be measured by. Quite a problem for people whose only skills are networking, getting elected, and looting.

A significant portion of the Left is radical and it is growing. It is cannibalizing the DNC no matter what wind passed for GWB's lips.

‘You know, you’re the savior because if you had not nominated Joe Biden, we would not be having this transfer of power today.' - George W. Bush.

Because Bernie would have won the primary and the DNC would be kaput or wholly taken over by the radicals. It is still happening, while the DNC still thinks it is in charge.

If we do not give a valid reason for being in Syria the radicals on the Left grow stronger. From Vietnam protests (assisted by the Soviets), the Nuclear Freeze Movement ( Very Soviet) to the Antiwar protests of the aughts (That was all us baby), we won't peel off any antiwar protesters. They will just grow.

They will grow just like ANTIFA did not care that Biden won and attacked Democrat Party HQ in Portland.

Sure you can lock some of them up. You won't get them all and some will become the New Weathermen.

No matter what you do some are going to protest and violate the law. But if you govern in good faith and give reasons, you can avoid much of it. But we will not going to get good faith governing. You are going to get yours is not to reason why. Yours is to do and die plus pay taxes.

If you call your congress person, they will give you the "you do not know all, the facts." They won't be specific. That office monkey will repeat that forever. Meanwhile you have deployed overseas and they have never left their metro area, ever.

Like Congress people are all the smart. Hank (Guam will tip over" Johnson or AOC (What is a garbage disposal doing in my kitchen).

There's no accountability. Just war. Our leaders are engaged in forever wars despite the will of the population. Despite the misery. Despite the human rights violations. Despite everything.
We are slaves.

Remove Assad and give Iran the bomb. Yeah, that makes sense. Since when has Iran not fought in Syria, withdrawn or cut Assad loose? Like Never.

Iran is grudgingly giving the timeline for mass nuke production. They probably already have 1 to 6 and they have the missiles to deliver them or have the retards forgotten?

Has anyone remember GWB building antimissile defenses in Eastern Europe, which Stinky decided to scrap and replace with Navy based interceptors or so Stinky said.

The idiots had everyone looking at the birdy (the Nuke agreement), while not doing much about the delivery system.

Stinky and his puppet are going to get Putin to withdraw from Syria? Doubtful. Putin will kiss Erdogan's cheek and get the Americans kick out of Incirlik. How you going to supply American forces in North Iraq and Northern Syria? You can by air but it will be expensive. In a shooting war it will be impossible until and unless air superiority is achieved. Think you can do that?

The guy who stood up to Corn Pop really did not know how much white privilege and goodwill he had. Corn Pop knew, if he hit a young white life guard, he would be ion a world of shit. Maybe he considered Biden to be better than the average cracker. Whatever between that and Biden standing up for himself to a degree earned Biden some respect.

But Biden had never been in a real fight. So a suspect having never been popped in the nose in a balls out fight, he thinks he might be able swing it in Syria. Hubris. He will miscalculate. His master has never been in a balls out fight either.
