Will The Covid-19 Vaccines Work Against The New Strains?

The mutations of the coronavirus has caused changes to the spike protein on its outside (shown in red), which is what the virus uses to attach to the human body (Original illustration of the virus by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention)

 * Research will go some way to calming international fears about the new variants
 * However it only looked at one concerning mutation and not the actual strains
 * Both strains have more than a dozen mutations, some of which could effect jabs

UK Transport Secretary Grant Shapps warned today the current wave of vaccines might not protect against the South African strain of coronavirus.

Mr Shapps said introducing a mandatory test and release system for travelers coming into the UK had become 'much more urgent' because of the threat the variant poses to Britain's mass vaccination programme.

But there was confusion about the timing of his comments, which came just hours after a study by Pfizer/BioNTech suggested their vaccine could be just as effective against a mutation in the super-transmissible strain.

The pfizer and modena vaccine will not be effected by mutations outside the spike protein. Mutations in the spike proteins may circumvent the vaccine to some extend, depending in the mutation and the individiul vaccinated

Sooner or later people will want to know where to send the mega trillion dollar bill this virus and the subsequent lockdown and all that Great Reset talk caused. It's a crime against humanity of biblical proportions.

Here in Southern California I'm noticing fewer people wearing masks outdoors. I think the never ending lockdown and restrictions are wearing people down, also people are becoming aware that you are highly unlikely to catch or spread the virus outdoors with just a little effort in distancing.

The problem is not the do0cking protein. It is a problem you should be asking Ma Bell.

At least we can spell

I can spell. I misspelled one word due to fat fingers and I did not spell check. If you think I misspelled more than one world, then you know not what I said. Which to me is a good thing.

Sure whatever! The world sees you for what you are. I'm so glad you can spell now you can work on coherency of thought.
