The coronavirus pandemic appears to be firmly in retreat around the world, with every corner of the globe seeing infections fall except the Middle East.

World Health Organization (WHO) figures show the number of new Covid cases fell by 16 per cent worldwide last week to 2.7million.

It marks the fifth consecutive week infections have dropped after peaking at more than 5million in the week ending January 4.

Covid deaths are also falling.

Infections plunged fastest in Africa and the Western Pacific (down 20 per cent), followed by Europe (18 per cent), the Americas (16 per cent) and South-East Asia (13 per cent).

WNU has gone parrot on us.

Well you get what you pay for. Many if not most of us pay nothing, so we get free propaganda from WNU.

An honest chart would be one which show a vertical line demarcating an event. That event would be WHO and countries following its recommendation on diagnosing criteria.

There are you random or common cause.

There are your special or assignable cause.

Who changing their diagnosing criteria is a special or assignable cause.

While I do not know how to make a control chart that concludes seasonality. There is more to the fall in cases than the season winding down of being over per the calendar. It is also going down faster than perhaps herd effect says it would or is predicted by exspurts.

Wow this is so weird
As soon as trump is out of the white house the numbers magically go down. Just wow.
It's a bit too transparent.they'll have to hit us with another wave and take more of our money and rights in the process. It must be addictive. They want more and more and more. They will not stop until you stop them.
