Update #2: Canada is vowing to be the next country to demand Facebook to pay for news .... Canada vows to be next country to go after Facebook to pay for news (Reuters). I have my doubts that this is going to happen. The person who runs Facebook in Canada has deep ties to Prime Minister Trudeau's government. But we shall see.

realistically, who gets their news through Facebook? Australia, get your news from other sources! Problem solved.
Suckerburg is all prepared to sit in the temple, and declare himself God. Along with his other talking heads.
This as well as the privacy prompt on Apple, it’s not going to be a good year for Facebook.
This seems somewhat self defeating. The fewer viewers the less ad revenues. [In theory} Advertisers will be looking for a reduced bill from FB. FB just reduced it's ad watching audience.
Why would someone not get a substitute? For national pride if no other reason.
