WNU Editor: Up to a few months ago everyone who understood vaccine development were saying that a Covid vaccine would only be ready in 2022 or later. The only people who had a different point of view were President Trump and key officials in his administration.
In hindsight. The recruitment of Dr. Moncef Slaoui and the work of former HHS Secretary Alex Azar, backed by a blank U.S. government check to fund all of this work, probably saved hundreds of thousands of Americans lives (if not more), and millions on a global level.
Update: My appointment for my vaccine is next year.
