President Joe Biden will recalibrate American relations with Saudi Arabia and will communicate through Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz rather than Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the White House said Tuesday.
'We've made clear from the beginning that we're going to recalibrate our relationship with Saudi Arabia,' White House press secretary Jen Psaki said at her briefing on Tuesday.
She said part of that recalibration would include Biden speaking to the Saudi king, instead of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman - a marked change in policy from the Trump administration.

WNU Editor: Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is the person who is ruling Saudi Arabia. His 85 year old father is just a figurehead.
This "new" White House policy to have President Biden only dealing with the King is not going to work. This is not how international relations work.

It's a statement to the kid.
/Put that Kamala babe in charge of the SA diplo-speak. I hear she's doing most of the talking to heads-of-state anyway.
Statement or not it is a stupid one by Dumbass, Dumbass, and administration.
I thought the rounding up of 1,700 people was a very dumb move by The Prince. But maybe in a kleptocracy, it is what you have to do.
Maybe Doddering Fool and President Sleep-her-Way-to-the-Top are sending a necessary message. If after the King dies the extended family does not replace the Prince or there is no coup, then what?
Will the Prince forget?
What leverage do we have? Arms sales? The Russians, Chinese and Swedes are waiting in the wings and there stuff is good but less expensive.
Sic the Israelis on the Saudis? Oh wait, Asshole and Wanker are busy pissing the Israelis off.
Sic the EU on them? Does the EU have a military? Britain is getting rid of its tanks and some of their officers are making porn vids. There is no German military to speak of. The French military is tied down in North Africa and North Africa is much, much more important to France than the Middle East. Germany and the rest of them will not stop trading with anyone if Washington asks.
Anon (7:57) nails it!! "This is not how international relations work." Essentially team Biden is making a Kindergarten level error. If they can't get basic things right, it's hard to imagine they will be able to get the hard things right.
Biden is not on the phone anyways. Kamala is on the phone with Macron and other leaders. Biden is sitting pat with his pacifier.
