(CNN)The Navy's efforts to improve equality have clearly fallen short of "addressing the societal challenges of today," a military task force created following the nation's racial reckoning found.
Task Force One Navy issued dozens of recommendations on Wednesday after months of evaluating the military branch's diversity and inclusion practices.
"We have fallen short in the past by excluding or limiting opportunity for people on the basis of race, sexual orientation, sexual identity, gender or creed," Adm. Michael Gilday, the chief of naval operations, said in a statement.
"Our Navy must continue to remove barriers to service, and most importantly, be a shining example of a workforce centered on respect, inclusive of all.
Simply put, all Sailors -- uniformed and civilian - and applicants for accession to the Navy must be treated with dignity and respect above all else."

WNU Editor: It looks like a purge of the US military will soon be underway. Especially since this is going to happen .... Pentagon Will Order Troops To Stand Down In The Next 60 Days To 'Address White Nationalism And Extremism In The Ranks'. It would not surprise me at all if a lot of US soldiers are scrubbing their social media posts right now. And as for the future. Do not be surprised if promotions will be based on racial and social quotas and standards.

Lighten up, Francis.
U.S. Navy promotion boards are required by regulations to always have at least one minority member (i.e. BIPOC to use the language of the enemy). Boards are required to have a female on them too. So right there every selection board is guaranteed to have two or more ' minorities'. It has been that way for over a generations. It has been that way for 4 or more decades.

I saw a huge increase in just one decade and that was a long, long time ago.
On top of the out right minorities in the corps there are who they marry. A lot white service members marry non-whites. So I do not believe there is any white rampant nationalism n the military.
For every white nationalist that might be found in he military there will be 4 to 10 followers of Louis Farahkhan or similar racist.
For awhile the number of black officers went down after the 1970s. Reason given was that society as a whole was less racist and so there were more opportunities opening outside the military and young black professionals took them.
If there are not enough black college grads wanting to go into the military, I would put that at the feet of the Democrat Party and its policies.
Promotion boards are structurally designed to prevent discrimination. That design is to have minority representation on every board. Every promotion board can be watched like a hawk by people from the minority communities.
The Democrat Party has been polarizing America since the 1960's. It was not Trump. He just stood up to them and they got more shrill. Now that he is gone, these race baiters got more shrill, if that is possible.
A person would get better consideration during a Hutu-Tutsi genocide a s person both sides hated than by that which is given by Democrats.
The end of the priority for competence is the end of the Society. RIP.
More social engineering. Kinda reminds me of The Great Society of last century. I hope military training will still be part of the curriculum.
