Where Has Iraq's Oil Wealth Gone?

WNU Editor: In the above YouTube's commentary thread the overwhelming blame is put on the U.S.. Like Venezuela (who also blames the U.S. for the disappearance of their oil wealth), the problem is more internal. A culture of corruption, red tape, and incompetence coupled with political instability are not conducive to develop and grow an economy. A lesson that Iraq knows but does little to correct.

Propaganda that in a good universe would get the makers droned.

Production rights to the oil fields were auctioned off to the highest bidder. Chinese companies outbid American companies. There is no reason figure that the auctions were not legitimate except we see how obsequious Biden and others are to the Chinese leadership.
