Conflict, not cooperation, is going to define international affairs for the foreseeable future. This will be true both on Earth and, more importantly, in the strategic high ground of space.
Fact is, the second space race is on. The world’s powers are playing for keeps. Whoever wins the second space race will rule the world.
Despite the competitive advantages that the United States has in this arena, America’s rivals — namely Russia and China — are catching up.
Unless the Biden administration takes a radical departure from where its nascent space policy is heading, America will lose space and, in so doing, the United States will cease being the world’s superpower.

When I watch Chinese TV is seems to exude optimism and energy. There is none of the Hollywood angst. There is no China was Never Great (America was never great.). There are no films or series titled "The Last Starfighter" or "The Last Ship". America would be better, if it TV looked more like the 50's again.
Bit it is Obama's 3rd term, so maybe NASA goes back to Muslim outreach.
Well, USSR led the 1st race during 12 years a raw and the victory felt in the hands of America.
US needs challenge, that's the way this country was done and it is for the future too.

Both the Russians and Chinese are using 70's tech, and SpaceX is landing their rockets yet the Russians and Chinese are "winning" the space race. Yeah right, lots of people really love the Russians and especially the Chinese.
Russia did take northern Manchuria from the Chinese.
They say they are friends now but let the balance of power change and recalculate.
