Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines being sworn in my Vice-Presdient Harris
Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines said Monday that the Biden administration will have to work to reestablish relationships with allies that took a hit under the Trump administration.
“We do have to rebuild some trust with allies ... and that's an issue that the policymakers obviously are focused on,” she told The Hill's Steve Clemons at the Future of Defense Summit.
Haines added that it is “increasingly important for us to invest in those partnerships to make sure that we're working with our partners and allies across a range of issues.”

WNU Editor: She says that she will have to work to reestablish relationships with allies that took a hit under the Trump administration. But she does not mention that her own boss has damaged relationships with America's allies in the Middle East .... Israel, Saudi Arabia, and the Gulf states to name a few. Nor does she bring up the inconvenient fact that it is the Biden administration that is alienating European allies like Germany who do not share the administration's national security views on Russia.

WNU,
Well, you are perfectly right. So, what can we expect anything good from this administration?
My fear is this administration has to be realistic with very bad event (as Taiwan or else) in emergency way which not the best one.
Avril Haines has already has 2 strike or two fouls, which does not matter. First two foul balls are are strikes unless there are already 2 strikes.
She is not impressive except in a bad sort of way.
"Biden administration that is alienating European allies like Germany who do not share the administration's national security views on Russia."
Germany's relationship with Trump was never good, and there were many disagreements. This isn't a 'Biden' issue.
Back to the past. The last 4 years need to be readjusted so they can get back to the business as usual of the preceding 50 years. And here I thought their system did pretty well undermining a president who didn't see things their way. No doubt they'll now be hardening their bunkers against any future Trumps, who managed to take them by surprise.
It is not a Trump issue. It is a a Germany and a Biden issue. It is a Germany issue because to balance their budget, TPRB will fund all their pet projects and boondoggles off the back of the military and the Americans under the Democrats do the same thing.
It is very easy to point to German planes and ships that cannot move or German tanks and or equipment that are simply not there.
When your troops are training with broom sticks, the leader should be up in charges and thrown in a dungeon to rot.
