The former director of the CIA has said he is 'embarrassed' to be a white male during a discussion about the US Capitol riot.
Speaking as part of a panel of guests on MSNBC yesterday, John Brennan, 65, was asked whether some members of the Republican party are lying about the events leading up to the US capitol siege.
'Deadline White House' host Nicolle Wallace asked Brennan whether a recent New York Times report on the death of Capitol Police officer Brian D. Sicknick 'renders at best, hypocritical, at worst cynical and false, any notion that the Republicans care about the lives and safety of law enforcement.'
