Germany Wants To Tax U.S. Soldiers Who Are Stationed There

Attendees salute the U.S. and German flags during the groundbreaking ceremony here for the Rhine Ordnance Barracks Medical Center Replacement, Oct. 24, 2014, in Weilerbach, Germany. (Sgt. Daniel Cole/Army)

In an ongoing story, that is certain to be of interest to Americans abroad, Germany has begun treating certain US Military Personnel as tax residents of Germany. In other words, Germany is imposing tax (and apparently penalties) on the income earned by US military personnel stationed in Germany. The starting point is that US Forces in Germany (and other countries) are governed by the SOFA (“Status Of Forces Agreement”) agreement. Among other things, the SOFA agreement exempts US service personnel from being treated as tax residents of the country where they are serving. In simple terms: As long as the individual serviceman meets the conditions in the SOFA agreement, he/she would NOT be treated as a tax resident of Germany.

Now we know we have weak, stupid president, VP and Sexetary of State.

Maybe those 1 million illegal immigrants, i.e. military aged males, that Herr Chancellor Tremors invited are not a net contributors to the German economy. So the whore bitch is looking under the sofa cushions for spare change.

If Trump had got his way the American troops would be in Poland by now and there would be no talk of taxing them.

BTW those troops are already taxed when ever they buy goods and services in Germany it is the sales or VAT. When the base busy good or services it raises the economic activity of the surrounding local, which is why locals might be anti-military in general, but they love their base.

To If, the abominable stupid ass.

The only if, is if the US has a backbone.

If a person or group makes a a "suggestion", threat, or extortion request often they are sizing you up. they want to see if you will comply.

This is something that would never be done in polite society. Germany is why of our top 3 or 5 allies. We are talking the 5 Eyes, Japan, South Korea, France and Germany.

Out ally is trying to shake us down for that which is normally settled international law. Normally, if you are an expat you do not pay taxes to both the country you live in and your home country.

What did you say your degree was in again? Trolling stealing lollipops and converting food into methane?
