Maritime Dispute Between Kenya And Somalia Intensifies

BBC:
Kenya withdraws from ICJ case over Somalia sea border at last minute

Kenya will not take part in Monday's hearings over its maritime border dispute with Somalia at the International Court of Justice, government sources have told the BBC.

Kenya accuses the ICJ of bias in the case, which concerns a 62,000 sq miles (160,000 sq km) triangle in the Indian Ocean. The area is thought to be rich in oil and gas.

Both nations are buttheads. Kenya is the bigger buttheads, because it is telling the biggest whopper.

Trump could have mediate the dispute, if the assholes among us had not gummed up the works with the Russian collusion.

Obama could have gotten it done, but what is in it for him. Sure he has Kenyan ancestry, but that is mainly for show and cred. It is a piece of flair he wears on his uniform.

It doesn't matter how many fish or in the EEZ if both parties are dicking around arguing and not getting work done. The Chinese just slip in there and take all the fish.

The objective, consistent international war of determining it is a perpendicular line extending from the coastline. It means Somalia gets most of what it wants and Kenya gets an eight or something. Any kid in middle school with a good amp and a projector could draw it.

Meanwhile we have drought, Al Shabaab, and rampaging Chinese and these dudes are in a pissing contest.
