Scientists Say That New Coronavirus Vaccines Will Be Needed Globally Within A Year

WNU Editor's mother getting her Covid-19 shot

Survey of experts in relevant fields concludes that new variants could arise in countries with low vaccine coverage

The planet could have a year or less before first-generation Covid-19 vaccines are ineffective and modified formulations are needed, according to a survey of epidemiologists, virologists and infectious disease specialists.

Scientists have long stressed that a global vaccination effort is needed to satisfactorily neutralise the threat of Covid-19. This is due to the threat of variations of the virus – some more transmissible, deadly and less susceptible to vaccines – that are emerging and percolating.

WNU Editor: The experts have been wrong on a lot of things when it comes to this coronavirus. Let us hope they are wrong again.

All I know is I'm taking a wait and see stance.
So far the UFO sightings have not yet been mentioned in this virus situation. A little puzzling, methinks.

Consider getting sick with a rhino, influenza, corona, adeno or any respiratory virus. You feel under the weather. You feel weak. Other times you just have the sniffles or are asymptomatic. But just consider feeling under the weather. You have muscle weakness. That would include the muscles that move your diaphragm. If you have pot belly, would muscle have to move that up out of the way. That is a lot of work. There are sleep studies on the extra work. Throw in a respirator pathogen that cause inflammation, which weaken the muscles, it might decrease you blood oxygen level. Decreased oxygen level weakens the muscles more and soon you have a feed back loop, a bad one.

I would suggest that a person laboring to breath sleep like Minbari*. They should sleep on an inclined surface.

https://amerisleep.com/blog/inclined-bed/

"Lying on a flat surface can worsen respiratory disorders, including sleep apnea and snoring. These conditions are typically caused by gravity, but elevating your body can reduce symptoms and improve sleep."

I would try an inclined surface and a CPAP or BPAP before a ventilator. When you are intubated for a ventilator, the tube if left in log enough can be cemented in by a patients own mucus. Doctors can do damage taking out a tube. Besides Democrats and other socialist scum want to limit the number of ventilators and who can use them. They will cry all day to be put in charge and then when they are after awhile due to cost cutting they will ration. An inclined bed and CPAP got to be cheaper than a ventilator.

Somehow getting supplemental oxygen and using a CPAP is not as scary as a ventilator. How would a yellow journalist make a living?

* "Minbari sleep at a forty-five degree angle. To sleep in the horizontal would be tempting death" Mostly Hollywood babble, but there is a little something to it.
