Asia Pacific commander Philip Davidson says Beijing wants to take Washington’s world leadership role by 2050

China could invade Taiwan within the next six years as Beijing accelerates its moves to supplant American military power in Asia, a top US commander has warned.

Democratic and self-ruled Taiwan lives under constant threat of invasion by China, whose leaders view the island as part of their territory and which they have vowed to one day take back.

“I worry that they’re [China] accelerating their ambitions to supplant the United States and our leadership role in the rules-based international order... by 2050,” said Washington’s top military officer in Asia-Pacific, Admiral Philip Davidson, on Tuesday.

Next six years? More like next six months. Or weeks.

I thought vet Russ in Socal was being over the top when he says 6 weeks.

But look at these 3 headlines form PJ Media

1) The Feds Chose an Odd Time to Remove Protection Around Antifa's Favorite Riot Target in Portland

2) Biden Border Crisis Escalating Dangerously Across the Southwest: Crossings On Pace to Top Past Three Years COMBINED

3) The Minneapolis Effect: Anti-Police Movement Imposing Severe 'Murder Tax' From Coast to Coast

The US is not doing well. The Chinese are not only looking at gun tubes, missile stockpiles and other material things. They are looking at social cohesion, too. If they hit too soon cohesion in America gels or crystalizes no problem despite differences. If they wait long enough...

People like to opine about the 'Good War', but really they learn few lessons as they do not study it. For instance to explain things they are lazy and heuristically wave their hands and call Hitler an evil genius. I think of Hitler as just some guy. Sure he was evil and did some smart things. But Hitler just did the normal monkey/ape things. He built coalitions in central and Eastern Europe and elsewhere. He judged other leaders psychologically and won. He did this in 1938, but went to the well too often and lost.

What is interesting is that the German military gave Hitler projections of war such that the German Army would be ready in 1945 or 1950. Which is kind of funny, pathetic and useless. As soon as the German make headway in parity the British would respond and then the German General staff would move their projections to 1955 as to being ready for war. Just obvious.

But we know Hitler kept pushing and the Germans went to war 6 to 10 to 15 years earlier than the Dr. Fauci's of the Wehrmacht advised.

Maybe the Wehrmacht had no intention of going to war. Maybe they just liked the budget to regrow to what they though was befitting a nation of Germany's size, but they gave Hitler future projections to fob him off. Throw in irredentism and vengeance into the mix, too.

Thing is the German Wehrmmact might have play that game with Dear Leader. The Chinese PLA might be playing that game with Xi. And Xi might go before the PLA or the Pentagon think the Chinese are truly ready.
