NBC: Frustrated military officials want Biden to make a decision on Afghanistan

“There needs to be a decision,” said a senior officer. An ex-official said Biden is “dithering” and leaders want him to "tell us what we’re doing here.”

WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden's lack of a final decision on the future status of U.S. troops in Afghanistan just three weeks before a deadline for their complete withdrawal has begun to frustrate some military officials, according to current and former senior U.S. officials.

"There needs to be a decision," a senior military officer said.

A former senior official described Biden as "dithering" and said the view among military leaders is increasingly "just tell us what we're doing here." Whether to abide by the May 1 deadline, and if not how to proceed with a war that began 20 years ago this fall, is among the first high-stakes foreign policy decisions Biden has faced since taking office.

Obama is not in a hurry to make a decision. As the man behind the curtain, he takes no criticism. The criticism lands on Joe Biden's shoulders and he does not care either. He is not home.

But the Pentagoons only have themselves to blame as they are part of the spectators admiring the Emperor's New Clothes as he strolls down the street. They help keep up the farce.

You thought no such thing. Trump had a deal and the Swamp dug in its heels and slow walked it.

A deal with Pakistan/Taliban ain't worth shit, but no one in Washington actually has a plan to win the war. They just want to stay so as to not lose face and are using American children, who are not their own.

Britain could not win the American Revolutionary war with France and Spain supporting the Americans.

The US cannot win the Afghan War without separating the Taliban from their Pakistan sponsors. If you are not going to do that, then shut the fuck up.

Need to leave soonest. Just tell the Afghan leadership. “Look, we tried to show you what right looks like but you guys are hopeless. We’re out of here Wednesday. By the way, you let some idiot use this place as a base to attack America and we’ll settle this from Wyoming.

It is a loss. You win the war in Afghanistan in Pakistan. Then you put the hurt on the other players, which isn't going to happen.
