RFE: Moscow Expels 20 Czechs In Tit-For-Tat Move Over Alleged Russian Links To Deadly 2014 Depot Blast
Moscow has expelled 20 Czechs in a retaliatory move after Prague sent home 18 Russian diplomats, accusing them of being spies after Czech intelligence linked Russian military agents to a deadly ammunition depot explosion in 2014 that killed two people.
The Foreign Ministry in Moscow said on April 18 that the Czechs affected were told to leave Russia by the end of day on April 19.
The tit-for-tat move comes as the European Union's top diplomats prepare to meet on April 19 to discuss Russia's alleged involvement in the explosion, an accusation Moscow has called "absurd" and a sign of Washington's influence on Prague.

WNU Editor: On first reading this is a very strange diplomatic spat between Russia and the Czech republic. For one. Why would Russia blow-up a Czech munitions dump. But here is a good summary on why the Czech Republic is reacting the way that it is, and why Russia is implicated .... "Why would Russia blow-up a Czech munitions dump."
People said the same thing about the Salisbury poisoning.
It didn't make much sense, but then it doesn't have too when its Russia. I'm sure they had their reasons.
It all makes sense. If Ukrainians have no ammunition, then they will lose battles, retreat and cede land. If it means blowing up a Czech ammo dump of killing a legitimate Bulgarian arms dealer, so be it (in GRU eyes).
It is little different than the Black Tom Explosion. You get caught you get more than a black eye. It is very devious and against the election campaign promises to be supplying belligerents, when you declare yourself as neutral among other things. What Germany did was illegal. What America did was probably legal as no law was passed, but it was immoral. What Russia did was illegal on tow counts.
Is the US no better than Russia? It is trending that way. The amount of corruption in Ukraine is staggering, which is The State does not want it revealed. The Biden family is not the only American family that became rich off of scamming US aid or Ukrainian money.
"Bilateral relations took a decided turn for the worse in early 2020, when Prague city officials dismantled a statue of a Russian World War II hero and renamed the square in front of the Russian Embassy after slain former Kremlin critic Boris Nemtsov. The two countries exchanged heated rhetoric."
We hear from knuckle draggers on the left that The U.S. is occupying Germany. Funny but many Lefty Germans cried real tears, when Trump wanted to pull America Troops out.
