Kyiv Post: Peskov: Moscow, Kyiv holding consultations on possible Putin-Zelensky meeting

Consultations on the possible meeting of the Russian and Ukrainian presidents, Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky, are underway, but the situation regarding subjects for discussion is a deadlock right now, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

“These are deadlocks: our Ukrainian vis-a-vis (…) say: ‘We’ll discuss Crimea.’ However, if it means discussing Crimea in terms of developing cross-border cooperation – you know, Russia has cooperation between regions with foreign countries – if in this context, I’m sure Putin will be ready. But if it means discussing something else and not that Crimea is a region of the Russian Federation, then nobody will ever discuss it with anyone,” Peskov said in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin when commenting on the information about Russian-Ukrainian consultations on the possible Putin-Zelensky meeting for the Moscow.
