WNU Editor: I have had better days.
A picture that I copied and pasted from a well known website had malicious malware hidden in the code.
Google Chrome, Firefox, Apple, and Bing immediately flagged it, and blocked the site.
Took me a good part of the day to figure out what was wrong, but the problem was found.
Had to delete every post that was done today as a precaution.
Firefox is currently saying War News Updates is "secure".
Apple is saying "secure"
Google Chrome is saying "not secure".
Android, which is part of Google, is saying "not secure".
Bing is saying "not fully secure"
I have to send a request to both Google and Bing to check my site so that they can verify the problem is solved before they can give me their "secure" approval. I have already made the request, and they will get back to me in a few days.
Bottom line.
To the best of my knowledge the problem has been found and corrected.
All the web browsers are no longer blocking War News Updates (much to my relief).
But I will still wait another 24 hours before I start posting new stuff.
In the meantime I will be checking to make sure there are no surprises lurking around.
Update: For those who are curious. Here is Google's Transparency Report for War News Updates that is confirming the site is now safe (link here).

Any idea what time it was marked secure on those first browsers?
Alex,
After I deleted all of today's post, Firefox and Apple removed their block within 5 minutes.
Google and Bing took about 10 minutes.
Google's Transparency report gave the all clear within half an hour.
It isn't just WNU. I bookmark three "Blogger" sites and all three were flagged with that warning. I ignored it. Listed them as safe on my end and carried on.
(all three have a non-conformist, conservative bent)

WOW!!!!!
Thanks for the heads-up.
Google is doing this deliberately, another site I follow had the same exact message on it. Google is harassing you.

Thank you for the info.
I am investigating to find out what happened.

Goggle has better things to do with its money and time
Blogger is an American online content management system (CMS) which enables multi-user blogs with time-stamped entries. Pyra Labs developed it before being acquired by Google in 2003. Google hosts the blogs, which can be accessed through a subdomain of blogspot.com.
WHY WOULD GOOGLE DO THIS TO A PLACE THEY OWN? they run ads. they make money. If unhappy with politics they could simply close down the blog
A corporation run by screaming liberals would very well forego a percentage point of two in profit for a short or medium duration to drive a few people from the public square. Companies have sold physical product below manufacturing cost to drive competitors out of business.
It is called dumping.
Is there some sort comic constant like the speed of light, which says dumping only occurs if the product is hardware, but never for software or services?
10:48 ARE YOU FUCKING INSANE or just a liar?
Dumping, in economics, is a kind of injuring pricing, especially in the context of international trade. It occurs when manufacturers export a product to another country at a price below the normal price with an injuring effect. The objective of dumping is to increase market share in a foreign market by driving out competition and thereby create a monopoly situation where the exporter will be able to unilaterally dictate price and quality of the product.

prove that google did this on purpose and did not do it to the many many many other right of center sites that use

I know you are but what am I?
You know it can be proven. You also know that borrowing Wikileaks or a whistle blower, there will be no court order to produce records. Knowing there will be no court order you sit back smug and as insane as ever.
