Euractiv: EU parliament calls for the suspension of Turkey’s EU talks
The European Parliament called on the European Commission on Wednesday to suspend Turkey’s EU accession talks.
The resolution was adopted by an overwhelming majority of 480 in favor, 64 against and 150 abstentions.
The European People’s Party group (EPP) tweeted “The plenary adopted with an overwhelming majority the toughest resolution on Turkey ever.”
“We insist that the accession talks with Turkey must be formally suspended, if the current negative trend is not urgently and consistently reversed,” the centre-right group added.

This subject has always be a joke. How can Turkey be a part of Europe? Why not New Zealand or Argentina?

I've been to Turkey, Istanbul.
You have mosques prayers echoing all over the city, and Christians are not really welcome anymore. 15 years ago it was more open of a society than today and even back then they couldn't join the EU when they wanted. The cultural differences are too vast. My female friend got harassed multiple times despite walking with me(it's gangs of Turks, like 5 sometimes more that come after you, they're cowards on top of it all)
Now that they tuned the hagia Sophia into a mosque again it's clear they don't tolerate Christians.
The west needs to wake up to the openly declared goals of muslims to replace all religion with their religion
I've also read the Qur'an. Do not believe when a Muslim tells you there's nothing in it against Christians or Jews. You'll find it everywhere. In the qur'an it talks openly about not trusting people of other religions, to subdue them, to impose tax on them if they refuse, or else.
They smile at you while they lie to you about a religion of peace. They're liars.
