Esmond Knight who plays the captain of HMS Prince of Wales, was a gunnery officer on the PoW during the battle with the Bismark & was blinded when the bridge was hit. I wonder what went thru his mind when he re-enacted a battle he was badly wounded in. Richard Todd stands next to an actor actually playing him in The Longest Day. God knows what Audie Murphy thought when he made To Hell & Back. The film is nothing like his book. Keep ducking 🙉
