Dr. Fauci is the octogenarian, who was never put out to pasture, who is frightening people.
In the local region maybe a handful of people in their 50s died from COVID. Occasionally, they bother to report on comorbidities. So of that handful may 20% or 40% have been reported to have had underlying conditions. One such person was living in an LTC, so go figure.
A few more than that in their 60s have died. They deign to report a higher percentage of comorbidities.
One person in their early twenties died, which gets your attention until they publish a biopic about what a swell person they were. And as people go, they were a pretty good person. In the biopic they mention that said person had 4 surgeries by age 17 and had a life expectancy of 10 more years. Also published was a picture. They were morbidly obese. So they had 2 comorbidities.
You do not shut the economy down for an obesity or diabetes epidemic. The president might get on TV and call for "war" against overweightness, but you do not shut down the economy and throw people out of work. Unless ... unless it is your Cloward and Piven moment.

(2) Governor Whitmer (D) traveling to Florida on a private jet, when she lock down her state and Michgonians to not travel.
(3) Governor Pritzker (D) shutting down his state and then sending his family to Florida.
(4) Dr. Fauci telling people to mask up and then go to a ball game and not mask up.
