DW: World Health Assembly: UN chief says globe is 'at war' with COVID 

The head of the United Nations says the world needed to pull together as one to more effectively fight the coronavirus pandemic. 

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Monday called for the application of wartime logic in the international battle against COVID-19. 

At the opening of the World Health Organization's main annual assembly of member states, Guterres lamented a "tsunami of suffering" sparked by the coronavirus crisis.

That's very interesting. Before we can come together to fight COVID-19 the government most first end it's war against the people by lifting the "lockdowns." Even on places where they've largely been lifted the government is still ready to wield them at a moments notice sort of like a "sword of Damocles" held over the people.

The adverse psychological impact of this cannot be expressed enough. Subjecting people to such extreme stress often causes mental illness which leads to physical ailments often times leading to death. At least this is the case in America where we've endured some of the most brutal lockdowns in the world. Essentially the government response has been far worse than the virus ever could have been.
