Castillo Claims Victory In Peru's Presidential Election As Fujimori Cries Fraud

France 24: Peru leftist Castillo claims victory in presidential election as Fujimori cries fraud

Peruvian socialist candidate Pedro Castillo claimed victory in the presidential election on Tuesday after clinging on to a narrow lead as the lengthy vote count ended, although his right-wing rival pledged to fight the result and has yet to concede.

Castillo ended the count 44,058 votes ahead of Keiko Fujimori, who has made allegations of fraud with little proof and has tried to get some votes annulled.

The result of the June 6 ballot has not been formally announced by electoral authorities, but Castillo hailed the win on Twitter.

"A new time has begun," Castillo wrote, alongside a picture of himself with arms raised, the word 'President' in large font and his campaign slogan: "No more poor in a rich country."

Over a million votes 'annulled'. And of course the Marxist squeaks into "victory".

/I wonder which candidate those annulled votes were for.

Beat me to it, Russ. A million annulled votes! Nothing crooked in Peru, thinks miss nancey. I'd best go down there for a lesson or two.

Awww, the reactionaries are sad that a lefty won.

Go pound sand, dullards.

"Over a million votes were annulled." LOL.

So Fujimori "claims", without a shred of evidence. Nothing but her and her hack advisor's opinion. Didn't some other guy do that recently? What was his name?

You know, the fatso who likes to wear his pants backwards and diaper forwards?

WNU, reactionary chalet owner, enjoys making up stuff just like our 45th president. SAD.

Belarus has dirty elections.

Ditto China, Russia, Mexico and the US.

Why should Peru be any different?
