Asia Times: Mach 30 ‘tunnel’ will put China decades ahead
Hypersonic tech could make it possible for super-fast jets to fly anywhere in the world in two hours or less

Imagine a wind tunnel, capable of simulating flights at Mach 30 — that’s 23,000 mph, or, 30 times the speed of sound.
It may sound like science fiction, but in fact, China has built a hypersonic wind tunnel in Beijing which could put the superpower decades ahead of the West, according to a report in UK’s The Sun.
Researcher Han Guilai, of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, said that together with another facility, also in Beijing, China will be about 20 to 30 years ahead of other powers.

The US has studied hypersonic using the space shuttle for decades. Now the X-37 is offering similar opportunities. Real world labs. Much more to come with ever cheaper access to space.
Not believable. China is not capable of performing original research and creating new products. They are skilled thieves who steal the work conducted by Western nations and build off of that.
Not capable? I had 3 Chinese profs in college. I dropped one, but only because of their accent. If it is a thick Chinese accent or a thick Indian accent, I prefer the Indian professor as I can actually understand the words.
China has enough engineers and scientists for critical mass in research. Is it true in the US in the age of CRT and Democrat hegemony?
