Pakistan PM Khan Says He Aill "Absolutely Not" Allow The CIA To Use Bases In Pakistan For Afghanistan Operations

Axios: Pakistan PM will "absolutely not" allow CIA to use bases for Afghanistan operations

Pakistan will "absolutely not" allow the CIA to use bases on its soil for cross-border counterterrorism missions after American forces withdraw from Afghanistan, Prime Minister Imran Khan tells "Axios on HBO" in a wide-ranging interview airing Sunday at 6pm ET.

Why it matters: The quality of counterterrorism and intelligence capabilities in Afghanistan is a critical question facing the Biden administration as U.S. forces move closer to total withdrawal by Sept. 11.

* The Biden administration also is exploring options in Central Asia to maintain intelligence on terrorist networks inside Afghanistan, but that is complicated for a different reason: Those countries are in Vladimir Putin's sphere of influence.

The CIA fights al-Qaeda in Afghanistan and supports it in Syria

Caucus,

Pretty much. Lack of consistency in our foreign policy has been an issue.

In the case of Syria, I think the pathological need of the leadership class to fight Russia partly explains this one. They also rely heavily on ideology for guidance and they're just plain confused!!

Essentially Caecus is correct. The US is supporting Al Qaeda in Syria. I hypothesize it's due to knee jerk anti-Russianism on the part of our leadership class. Essentially they're going to oppose Russia even when such opposition runs contrary to our interests!!

I'm not foreign. I've provided information on how to contact me to verify this. Continuing to provide this is tiresome. If you missed it, I can do so again.

Maybe you want to defend our government 's stupid Syria policy. Frankly this would be more productive than slandering me. Perhaps you have nothing to contribute therefore you slander me to try and seem relevant.
