TASS: Putin hopes Biden "will be given a chance to work calmly"
* Russian president also highlighted the necessity of joint actions against various cyberattacks
MOSCOW, June 17. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed the hope that US leader Joe Biden "will be given a chance to work calmly."
"I do hope that we will not see a rerun of the previous years and he [US President Joe Biden] will have a chance to work calmly," Putin said in a videoconference with graduates of the personnel reserve development program of the Higher School of Public Administration on Thursday.
He stressed that Russia's authorities were determined to safeguard the national interests.
"We are prepared for continuing the dialogue to the extent the American side will be ready," Putin said.

President Putin then follows this with these remarks .... Putin praises kind atmosphere of summit talks with US President Biden in Switzerland (TASS).
So what is going on?
My take is that Putin is feeding President Biden's ego and the need to feel respected and loved. And he is overdoing it.
Rhetoric aside. And make no mistake about it. In the real world the Kremlin is saying that nothing has changed .... Still ‘no reason’ to remove US from Russia’s list of ‘unfriendly countries’, despite cordial Putin-Biden summit, says Kremlin (RT).

So what if Putin over does it. His job is to get the goods. If he feeds or overfeeds Biden's ego it might help the Russian position regardless, if Biden is a puppet (he is). If Biden is not a total welcome mat, he might push back against Klain, Blinken and others in the cabal and gum up the works.
