Newsweek: China Officials Share Viral Video Calling for Atomic Bombing of Japan
Communist Party officials in northwestern China appear to be advocating a "continuous" atomic bombing of Japan after their social media account shared a controversial viral video over the weekend.
Still live on the YouTube-like platform Xigua, under an account run by the Baoji Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, the video calls for Beijing to launch nuclear strikes on Japan if Tokyo intervenes in a Chinese invasion of democratic Taiwan.
The five-minute clip was created by verified military commentary channel "Liujun Taolue."
The original was posted on Sunday and later deleted after amassing more than 2 million views—but not before it was reposted by the official party account in Baoji, Shaanxi province.

I'm not sure what adjective to use here but desperate comes to mind.
An ill thought out bit of hot air but I believe some in that country are more inclined to image and bluster than others.
The Japanese are working on an atomic bomb. They already had the capacity to build one in WW2, but collapse was happening so swiftly that they were not able to deploy one.
So what are the Japanese waiting for? They want to build smaller, more reliable and more destructive nukes in sufficient quantity to be useful.
The CCP guaranteed it.
Break a nuke into its component parts or technologies and ask yourself if the Japanese and a lot of other people do not have the knowledge and capacity. There are alt least 3 different ways to enrich uranium and centrifuges is just one of them. Shaped charges have been extensively used since WW2.
If you are looking for the energy consumption from centrifuges, you are going to miss a lot of enrichment. But as they say ignorance is bliss.
