Everybody knows the reports are untrue. They are desperately trying to save themselves now.
There are two favorites for GOP nominee. Trump and De Santis. Do Democrats think dirtying up Trump helps them by making a DeSantis the favorite and they think the can beat him? Or do they thin keeping the spotlight on Trump makes him the favorite and they can beat him. I think they re wrong on both accounts.
Democrats are accused of basin and switch . so are RINOs but that is a different if similar story. Democrats are accused of lying and then taking off the mask after they get in office. I do not think they can put the mask back on anymore.

Trump was so angry, and having lost the way he did, it's very feasible and pretty trump-like for him to say things in anger. I doubt he wanted to stage a coup, but it's likely he said things that could be taken and twisted, used against him.
