WNU Editor: A few weeks ago I was wondering when George W. Bush was going to come out and voice his opinion on the US troop withdrawal from Afghanistan. It seem the only one who cared to know was the German news site DW when they interviewed him this week (see above video), and they asked him that question.

George Bush set the standard, an abysmal one, when he gave up on Swat Valley. He also allowed the Pakistanis to cut the US's MSR.
Once the Bush allowed the Pakistanis to ignore FATA and/or continue to support the Taliban, the war was lost.
Bush is better than Gore, but that is a low bar. Problem with Al Gore is Ted Kennedy and Chris Dodd never sat down with him and instructed him on how to smash a waitress onto a floor. Otherwise, Al Gore would have had that female masseuse screaming his name.

This is the guy who turned the terrorist arrest operation into a neverending military occupation right?
Truly, one WONDERS why nobody gave a shit what his thoughts were...
It ceased to be a terrorist arrest, when the Taliban refused to extradite Obama Bin Laden.
Once the Taliban refused to extradite him, what would you have done?
>what would you have done?
Killed him, of course. But if we're going down the road of that hypothetical, if he still manages to escapes from Tora Bora to pakistan, I would not have initiated a military occupation of it's neighboring country.
The comment's point was about the needless occupation more than the use of the word "arrest".
And as soon as you left Afghanistan after chasing Obama Bin Laden into Pakistan, he would have crept right back into Afghanistan and the Taliban with him.
It might have led to 6 months to 3 years of fighting but the Taliban would have won all over again due to Pakistani help.
>And as soon as you left Afghanistan after chasing Obama Bin Laden into Pakistan, he would have crept right back into Afghanistan and the Taliban with him.
Then you go in and kill him.
Am I missing the part where the 20 year occupation led to his death?
I am missing the part where running all ops out of the Islamabad embassy, the previously burnt down and gutted one, that the US would have had the bases form which to operate to find him. Maybe you can fill in the missing pieces.
It is not like the ISI would not be watching the comings and the goings from the embassy and have it locked down.
Maybe 9nstead of launching form Afghanistan, the stealth choppers could have launched from the IO and spent more time over Pakistani airspace.'
Stealth reduces your signature. It does not erase it.
Please put in another quarter and play again.
... crept right back into Afghanistan and the Taliban with him.

Name the launchpad. Is that country going to give you permission to operate out of their country? If they give you permission might that base be under observation?
It seems we have a bad habit of underestimating or overestimating our opponents until the sh_t hits the fan.
Can't answer, so tangent time.
Am I supposed to name a country?
Did the "stealth helicopters" (lol) not return to an aircraft carrier in international waters?
Yeah like Turkmenistan or Tajikistan
That was obvious. You did not name one, so it is obviously you are playing stupid and are trolling.
Also on the 2000 comment there is always a probability for flight long or short.
What is the 2000 comment?
You a machine bro?
