Japan Defence Paper Warns For The First Time That U.S.-China Tensions Over Taiwan Threaten Peace

NBC/Reuters: U.S.-China tensions over Taiwan threaten peace, Japan warns

"It is necessary that we pay close attention to the situation with a sense of crisis more than ever," Japan said in its annual defense white paper.

Growing military tensions around Taiwan as well as economic and technological rivalry between China and the United States threaten peace and stability in East Asia as the regional power balance shifts in Beijing's favour, Japan said in its annual defense white paper.

"It is necessary that we pay close attention to the situation with a sense of crisis more than ever," the paper said in a new section on Taiwan.

"In particular, competition in technological fields is likely to become even more intense," it said about the U.S.-China tussle.

The defense review, which was approved by Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga's government on Tuesday, points to China as Japan's main national security concern. Beijing's recent uptick in military activity around Taiwan has Tokyo worried since the island lies close to the Okinawa chain at the western end of the Japanese archipelago.

A war would be catastrophic for the West..
We don't even dare to tell mentally insane feminazis to shut up while they destroy society lol
And we certainly are not used to hard times anymore.. I haven't lost electricity once in decades lol go to China or Vietnam that's still very common. People build things with their hands at every street corner. Metallurgy. Drones. Everything.

We have app developers and safe room designers.
If it goes nuclear we lose, if it stays conventional we lose for sure lol
And don't think Chinese are small people.. sure the average Chinese is still only 1.64m or so but that includes 800mn Chinese in the villages and not that well nourished from birth(today they are of course).. but the Chinese have also very tall and strong people.. and they can afford to easily lose 200mn population of their 1.5bn..

And they'll not hesitate to do so either. One command and an entire province is mobilised if they choose to do.. that's the power of communism in one regard.. very powerful.. of course you're fcked if you're one of those poor bastards who are told to go but they'll go and that's that.

And if you think we are leading in terms of technology.. not really.. we spend more but we don't lead in crucial fields..hypervelocity, super and quantum computing, AI, drones, steel manufacturing, raw earths, energy.. even energy the Democrats destroyed now.. it's suicide by plan to avoid thucydides trap lol
