Washington Post: U.S. military once trained Colombians implicated in Haiti assassination plot, Pentagon says

Some of the former Colombian servicemen arrested after last week’s assassination of Haiti’s president previously received U.S. military training, according to the Pentagon, raising fresh questions about the United States’ ties to Jovenel Moïse’s death.

“A review of our training databases indicates that a small number of the Colombian individuals detained as part of this investigation had participated in past U.S. military training and education programs, while serving as active members of the Colombian Military Forces,” Lt. Col. Ken Hoffman, a Pentagon spokesman, said in a statement to The Washington Post.

1) What percentage of Columbian soldiers have had US training?

"It is common for Colombian forces and other security personnel in Latin America to undergo US training, the outlet reported." - NY Post

So these needs might represent 0.0002% of Columbian soldiers trained in their year group?

2) Soldiers do go mercenary at times, when they are let go. Great Companies during the 100 Years War, privateers in the Caribbean, etc.

3) How is Columbia's economy?

4) There were at least 2 Venezuelans. Their story?

5) Maybe the soldiers had been booted from the Columbian military?

6) I agree with Russ.

7) This almost like the Daily mail. Ya know those guys had been in the military for 1 to 4 years 5 decades ago, so that life experience must have been more important than all the other life experiences.

8) Columbia has conscription. They might have been conscripted, served their time and then went on to join a narco gang.

9) Trust many journalists to go Don Quixote.

I smell Clinton involvement. They installed Aristide. They profited from the Haitian telecom scam and after the earthquake the Clinton Foundation had a payday.

I also smell you BO.
