Most Americans now accept the theory that COVID leaked from a lab in Wuhan, a new poll found Friday, illustrating a dramatic shift in opinion from when the idea was dismissed as a fringe conspiracy theory.
The survey found 52% of people believe the virus leaked from a lab, including 59% of Republicans and 52% of Democrats, compared to 28% of respondents who said it was from an infected animal.

Any spy agency worldwide would manufacture evidence. Smart spies do not manufacture evidence when the truth will do. China engaged in bio weapon research at Wuhan. Virus either escaped or was purposefully loosed. If it escaped China did not tell the world to see what damaged it would do or because the all knowing, all powerful party does not make mistakes. Making huge mistakes undermines the legitimacy of the party.
I tend to believe that it was mistake and China did not want to admit it, because it would jeopardize their Mandate of Heaven. It is the simplest, straight forward explanation, It makes sense, but it might not be true.

Think of it this way
Don't you find it odd that right at the moment when China goes belly up in the trade war, late summer 2019 there was real panic in China and stock markets pumling and companies closing and people talking about getting rid of Xi. That's like death sentence over there for those who say it. It was bad.
Within 2-3 months we have this "lab leak" and China was the only country making money of it, growing its GDP as the only country in the world in 2020, absorbing trillions in capital. Mhhhmm
