CNN: US general vows to continue airstrikes supporting Afghan troops fighting Taliban

(CNN)The US will continue airstrikes in support of Afghan forces fighting the Taliban, a top US general said Sunday.

Violence has surged across the country in recent months after the Taliban launched a sweeping assault just days after the US-led foreign forces began their final withdrawal.

Speaking to reporters Sunday in Kabul, Gen. Kenneth McKenzie, head of the US Army Central Command, said, "The United States has increased airstrikes in the support of Afghan forces over the last several days, and we are prepared to continue this heightened level of support in the coming weeks if the Taliban continue their attacks."

Very sorry for Gen. Kenneth McKenzie, he has to do the work the almost dead Biden administration want to do. What is worrying me is the safety of the American troops are left there.

Air strikes are a hammer. Troops on the ground are the anvil. No anvil, then the hammer strikes are speed bump.

wrong Jac
Trump and Biden both wanted us out. Why are we leaving and continuing airstrikes?
do you favor us staying? if so, say so instead of dumping the usual crap about the winner of the election when you supported the loser

Jac is right.

Biden did not want us out until Mid March 2021. So there is your first lie. During the debates in 2019 during the Democrat primary China Joe timorously tried to thread the needle by advocating no increase in troops levels and no withdrawal.

"The only reason I can speak to it now is because it’s been published. It’s been published thoroughly. I’m the guy, from the beginning, who argued that it was a big, big mistake to surge forces to Afghanistan, period. We should not have done it. And I argued against it constantly." - Joe Joe Biden

China Joe had no strategy to win and did not want to leave. China Joe criticized Trump's pull put from the summer of 2020 until March 2021.

So everything you write has a hollow ring to it.

What happened to your previous sock puppet? Right, right, right, it took a crap.
