U.S. Vice-President Kamala Harris Says It’s “Almost Impossible” For Rural Americans To Photocopy Their ID

Daily Mail: Kamala Harris is mocked for claiming rural residents can't get photocopies of their IDs to vote by mail because they don't have 'Kinkos or OfficeMax'

* Harris made the remarks in an interview with BET News on Friday

* Expressed concern that rural residents don't have any Kinkos or OfficeMax

* Was discussing rules in some states that require a copy of ID for mail-in votes

* Some rural residents did not appreciate her remark that they can't photocopy

* The Kinkos brand disappeared 17 years ago in a merger with FedEx

Vice President Kamala Harris is facing criticism after suggesting that people who live in rural areas aren't able to make photocopies because they don't have a Kinkos or OfficeMax nearby.

Harris made the remarks in an interview with BET News on Friday as part of an argument against voter ID laws, including those in some states that require a photocopy of ID to vote by mail.

'I don't think that we should underestimate what that [compromise on voter ID laws] could mean,' Harris said.

I was born in an agricultural town of 6,000. So it is rural and according to leading Democrats backwards and full of poor, ignorant people. Of course there were ignorant people in town. There was a Democrat paper founded in 1883 for them. The town also had a newspaper for Republicans or smart people. The town also has had 2 radio stations since the early 1950s and a college since the 19th century.

I'm sure the people working for the college, the radio stations, the local school district, the town, the farm implement dealers, farmers, the newspaper, and everyone else are dirt poor and cannot figure out use their smart phones, their computers, or much of anything else. Maybe instead of a Democrat listening tour Kamala could hold a special symposium in the local high school and teach people how to scan using their smart phones and computers.

To be fair Kamala is not special. Democrat Bloomberg does not know much about farmers or rural communities either.
