Vice President Kamala Harris, seen in the center of the screen, and other officials met remotely with President Biden over the weekend to discuss the situation in Afghanistan. (Associated Press )
* Vice President Kamala Harris hasn't held a public event in six days and has limited events on her public schedule since last week
* Noticeably, Harris did not join President Joe Biden for his Afghanistan remarks on Monday, with the White House saying she watched from the 'green room'
* The vice president, however, almost always joins Biden for his public remarks
* She was also boasted of being the 'last person in the room' when Biden decided in April that he would withdraw US troops by September 11
* Harris also still plans to leave on Friday for her second foreign trip as vice president to Singapore and Vietnam as chaos in Afghanistan unfolds
* Harris held her last public event on August 12 and joined Biden over his right shoulder for his remarks on infrastructure on August 10
* She also was pictured in a Zoom call with Biden and others on August 15 discussing Afghanistan
Kamala Harris typically stands over President Joe Biden's shoulder when he addresses the nation. But she decided to skip his speech on the chaos surrounding the Afghanistan withdrawal and has not held a public event in six days - despite boasting she was the 'last person in the room' when the president decided to pull U.S. troops.
Rather than taking her usual spot behind Biden's right shoulder as he updated the nation on the situation in Afghanistan and defended his decision to withdraw troops on Monday, the vice president watched the speech 'from the Green Room', according to a White House official.
Harris also still plans to depart on Friday for her second foreign trip in office to Singapore and Vietnam, her office confirmed, despite the ongoing chaos and the comparisons between the fall of Saigon in 1975 and the toppling of Kabul by the Taliban over the weekend.

WNU Editor: She, alongside the President, own this disaster big time .... Kamala Harris has touted her role on Afghanistan policy. Now, she owns it too (LA Times).
In view of thousands of Americans now trapped in Afghanistan. If she and her staff have any brains, her trip to Asia this week should be immediately cancelled.

So much wasted breath on this blog about who is to blame.
I know how bad the Taliban is. I know what they do to women and little boys. I know what they're going to do to the interpreters and the people who cooperated with us, it's awful, it's bad, but we are leaving, and all I feel is grim relief.
Afghanistan is a dusty beige nightmare of a place full of proud, brave people who did not want us there. We called them Hajjis and worse and counted their lives at a fraction of our own.
I remember going through the phones of the people we detained and finding clip after clip of Bollywood musicals. Rarely did I find anything incriminating.
I remember how every year the US would have to decide how to deal with the opium fields.
You could let them alone, and then the Taliban would shake the farmers down and use the money to buy weapons. Or you could carpet bomb the fields and then the farmers would join the Taliban out of rage and injustice.
Or you could give the farmers fertilizer as an incentive to grow wheat instead of opium poppy, and the farmers would sell the fertilizer to the Taliban, who used it to make explosives for IEDs that could destroy a million dollar MRAP and maim everyone inside.
I remember we weren't allowed to throw batteries away because people who worked on base would go through the trash and collect hundreds of dead batteries, wire them together so they had just enough juice for one charge, and use that charge to detonate an IED.
I remember the look on my roommate's face after she got back from cutting the dead bodies of two soldiers out of an HMMWV that got blown up by an IED that I have always imagined was made with fertilizer we gave to an opium farmer and detonated with a hundred of our thrown-out batteries.
And now we are leaving and the predictable thing is happening, the Taliban is surging in and taking it all back.
They have what you can't buy or train, they have patience and a bloody-mindedness that warrants more respect than we ever gave them.
I am Team Get The Fuck Out Of Afghanistan which, as a friend pointed out to me today, has always been Team Taliban.
It's Team Taliban or Team Stay Forever, there is no third team allowed.
So I'm sitting here reading these sad op-eds (it's not journalism) about the suffering in Afghanistan and the horror of the encroaching Taliban and how awful it is that this is happening but I can't stop feeling this grim happiness, like, finally, the rest of you finally you have to see it too.
No more blown up soldiers. No more Bollywood videos on phones whose owners are getting shipped to blacksites. No more hypocrisy.
No more pretending it meant anything. It didn't. It didn't mean a fucking thing.
I remember finding propaganda footage cut together from the Soviet invasion and our own Operation Enduring Whatever and laughing about how stupid the Afghans were to not know we aren't the Russians
And then eventually realizing I was the stupid one.
Thank you for your service!
You are a patriot and a hero and so are your friends. No one who hasn't been there can really understand what it's like, and what it must be like to go through this all, see comrades being blown to pieces, the hypocrisy of the black sites as you pointed out.. ALL of it
But..
Aside from the typical political (your side fucked up) comments, there is a valid point to be made about HOW the withdrawal was done..
Either way.
Glad you're back, and apparently not completely shot up, so you can at least use a keyboard :) ;) haha damn, I don't even know what to say to cheer someone like you up.
Having a drink on you -- all the best from London
Kamala has brains. Like a lot of guys they are between her legs.
Practical advice for Covid
===========================
-- if an employer mandates you take a vaccine, DO NOT quit your job. Write an objection letter (consult a lawyer if possible) and make them fire you, THEN SUE THEM!
-- if you live in a state or province that requires forced vaccinations, resist. Find people who think like you, organize, vocalise and punish those who want to install this medical tyranny
-- inform yourself on drugs
-- ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine (those the media said don't work - the same media financed by big pharma), are cheap, safe and readily available and have been tested globally for 5+ decades(!)
-- if you have to go to a hospital, do not go alone if possible, but take a patient advocat with you - can be anyone, a friend or a medical doctor. Point is that they help you stand up to the medical protocol they use.
I know many doctors and have worked and studied in related fields, including virology. One of the key killers in hospitals are the protocols they impose and then follow through like a robot (people in hospitals are not bad people, they are just overworked, underpaid, stressed out and in fear of covid, because they have to deal with it daily
-- covid is real, but the pcr tests that were used were purposefully used to create 97% false positives (I have used the test myself, it is very much known to cause these issues).. don't believe me? Look at what Dr. Mullis (Nobel prize winner and actual scientists had to say about this all - in short he said NOT to use his test this way, for the detection of viral fragments, as it tells you NOTHING about a disease and it doesn't even tell you which corona virus is there, just that there are parts of fragments of the wider corona class family, a viral family that has been on the planet longer than humans. Covid has killed almost no one. What HAS killed people is the malpractice in hospitals, encouraged by a financial racketeering scheme, dictated by board members and CEO of hospitals who are not scientists, or haven't practices science or medicine often for decades. It's a commerical company, do not forget this.
-- get plenty of vitamin D (sunlight or supplement), exercise and be WITH HUMANS (do NOT follow the lockdown mandates, they are killig you.. it has long been shown that human immunity depends on being with other humans).. also vitamin C, zinc, and iodine are quite good to have on a daily basis
good luck :)
Amen.
Ps do not wear masks.
Most masks not only do not work, but prolonged use means your brain gets less oxygen and you end up like Fred
If you have to wear a mask, use an N95 or better. Most people don't know what the 95 in N95 stands for.. hint it's about the percentage it keeps out (double hint: even N95 masks can only filter certain sizes, and most virii are too small and will go throug if they're airborne.. but often they coagulate or are within droplets, for that the N95 masks give decent protection, BUT only work for a few minutes, not even hours and you have to dispose of them and learn how to correctly use them)
I have worn N95s.. they're super hard to breathe in and you will not enjoy it
Best, if you're really scared, which you shouldn't be, but let's assume you watch CNN and believe everything they say.. best is to keep places very well ventilated and ideally have sun light or UV-A lights... because corona viruses are based on RNA which disintegrates in sun light rapidly)
And don't take the vaccine is my personal advice.
They have no long term safety profile and already horrendous side effects as reported on VAERS, the official vaccine adverse events reporting system database, showing thousands and thousands of deaths and injuries already
And get this:a Harvard study from 2020 showed that only about 1% side effects ever get recorded..
This administration is in complete rout.
sure. keep ranting. check things tomorrow. you will continue to rant . administration will stay in place.
917 only apathetic people like you keep these monsters in office
You have no idea what they're doing to you
Have you taken the vaccine? Got talked into it by CNN?
good luck... and I mean it.. you'll need it
