There are many lessons to learn from the disastrous US pullout from Afghanistan, but there is one that we should take home right now: Failure must be punished.
The United States has been in Afghanistan for almost 20 years. It has been obvious for the last few years that we would be leaving soon. Former President Donald Trump wanted to leave Afghanistan, but the generals managed to slow him down and wait him out. Instead of making plans, they stonewalled.
When President Joe Biden ordered them to get out, there wasn’t a lot of time for planning, but they managed to get what they did wrong.

WNU Editor: President Biden should do so but not now. Unfortunately. Here is an easy prediction. These people are not going to be fired, but I do expect early retirements of some top military leaders.The intelligence community is going to be left untouched.

Would you follow the launch command given by a senile man with long history of forgetfulness, incompetence and temper issues?
Firing people won't help this administration.. maybe gives them some time, but ultimately they'll have to answer to a higher power for what they've done to others and their own.
But also his administration should be ashamed, for being almost as bad as him and putting a senile man in such a position. As others have said before, it's almost elderly abuse
