I disagree. The U.S. has plenty of leverage. It is a matter of what we are prepared to do.

#Leadership "The Untouchables" - What are you prepared to do?

Blinken is in charge not Austin. A group of conservative talk show hosts actually had good things to say about Austin's capabilities pre-Biden. State was put in charge of the evacuation not the DoD. The Taliban wanted the US to be in charge of airport security, Blinken/Biden/State demurred. Maybe that was just a ploy by the Taliban to get US soldiers further outside the gates to blow more up.

ISIS-K are not so much anti-Taliban as more radical Taliban. The schism is not as deep as some Western mavens pretend. The Taliban could be in on the attacks while denying culpability.

But we are dealing with Blinken and he is leading not Biden, not Kamala, not Klain and not Austin. So yeah, we have no leverage.

Can Blinken afford The Hamptons? He cannot. Not yet anyway. So he was hobnobbing. Hobnobbing during a crisis.

I'm very afraid for the future with this band of broken harms who are in charge of the country.

There is an old saying from the American West justice back in the 1800’s that applies to Biden’s entire chain of command starting from him going down to senior officers on the ground in Afghanistan.

Fair trial followed by a first class hanging.
