Secretary of State Antony Blinken was reportedly vacationing in the Hamptons just hours before Kabul fell to the Taliban, despite warnings that the city was at risk. Blinken was one of several top-level Biden administration officials to have gone on vacation the Friday before the Afghan capitol was taken by the group on August 15.
President Joe Biden himself was also on a trip away, and had arrived at the presidential retreat at Camp David that day.

Yes, I noticed Biden checking watch....obviously too much long for him. First it is disgusting, yes! second. what if we are at war with China and he need to be awake during hours and hours? We are in very bad hands.
There is nothing wrong with Anthony Blinken's credentials. He got an undergrad degree, he worked at a magazine, he got a law degree, he worked as a lawyer for some indeterminate time and then moved on to politics.
I believe Blinken has a normal cursus honorum, if one that is thoroughly lacking.
He got the law work in Paris and NYC through family connections. Some people may call that white privilege.
If I mam not mistaken, but most flights seem to come in at night. There are picture of Trump meeting the fallen at night? Joe cannot meet the fallen as as soon a possible?
Trump gave a good salute. Joe did not, Joe put his hand over his heart. Can Joe not raise his hand that high? McCain had an excuse. He was maimed due to torture. What is Joe's excuse?
