Zero Hedge: Footage Emerges Showing US Troops Frantically Smashing Equipment Before Leaving Kabul
Rare footage has emerged at the end of a week which marked the close of America's 20-year long war in Afghanistan. While the last US soldier in Kabul left late in the night Monday, video is circulating days later purporting to show US forces deliberately destroying their own military equipment in the days leading up to the final departure.
Dozens of Humvees and less than 100 aircraft including helicopters and Afghan national forces planes were "unarmed and disabled" - left for the Taliban to find them inoperable, though clearly in many other cases across the country the Taliban found usable equipment in abundance, which they've put on public parade of late.

Joe has not released any photos. He has none. Why?
What isn't being discussed right now is why this needed to be done in the first place.
Some of that equipment may have been sold to the Afghan government, but most of it was for the US. So even with the Taliban emerging out of their mud pits during the early stages, nothing seems to have been done to prepare for the removal of any of the equipment.
Was all the equipment going to be removed at a later date, if the Taliban had not taken over? It seems very unlikely they would have had time to withdraw everything, so in that case was it just all going to be left for the Afghan government?
Why not burn it up? It's not like they haven't had burn pits over there.. just drive the moto in there and throw some gas on it, like wtf? Crowbar against armoured transport takes like hours and hours

Well, look no further than to the master of the art of the deal, Donald Trump, who agreed to leave by May 2021, release 5,000 Taliban fighters and, in exchange, the Taliban wouldn’t attack our troops. So what option did we have? Stay and risk attacks on our troops, and then we respond, followed by a Taliban response, followed by another decade there? No thanks.
IF Trump had or had not made the deal staying after May 2021 would have entailed 8 to 20 people dying a year.
