Four Guantanamo Inmates Swapped For U.S. ‘Deserter’ Bowe Bergdahl In 2014 Now Named As Senior Ministers In Taliban Government

NY Post: Four Taliban members swapped for Bowe Bergdahl now in Afghan government

Four of the five Taliban members released from Guantanamo Bay by the Obama administration in 2014 in exchange for admitted US Army deserter Bowe Bergdahl are part of the Islamic fundamentalist group’s new hardline government in Afghanistan, according to local media reports.

Bowe Bergdahl

"On August 28, 2020, his sentence was approved by the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces. In February 2021, Bergdahl filed a petition in the U.S. District Court in Washington DC to have the conviction and sentence expunged. On August 2, 2021, the Justice Department filed a motion to dismiss that is under consideration awaiting a response from Bergdahl's lawyers."

If China wanted fresh prison labor after the last Uighur is gone, they could champion the cause of the Hazara. It won't happen now, but in 5 or 10 years? Crazy talk for sure, but so was lebensraum.

Hazara are of Mongol origin. Han and Mongol are in the same language family. Relations between the Taliban and China might sour. If America starts looking like Britain or Germany and China gets attacked a few times, who knows. It is a stretch.
