Daily Mail: Is this the Air Force's top secret RQ-180 stealth drone? Mysterious aircraft snapped flying over the Philippines could be 'Great White Bat'

* The Philippines Air Force intercepted an unknown aircraft flying over the island nation on Thursday as a local photographer snapped a photo

* The craft appeared with the batwing-shaped body and slender wing designed of the rumored RQ-180 secret stealth drone being developed by the US Air Force

* Military journalist Tyler Rogoway believes there is strong evidence for the spotted mystery craft to be the RQ-180 given the design and location

* A similar craft was spotted in California last year, also believed to be the drone

* Rogoway cautioned that it could also be a Chinese stealth drone, as the communist nation continues to develop drones similar to the America's designs

* The US government has only briefly acknowledged the RQ-180's existenc

A mysterious aircraft caught flying over the Philippines could be the United State's ultra-secret new RQ-180 stealth drone, aviation experts believe.

Local landscape photographer Michael Fugnit captured the craft on Thursday when he was attempting to take pictures of the sunrise by the coast of Santa Magdalena, a resort town 364 miles south of Manila.

Fugnit regularly watches the skies for planes, and quickly realized that the batwing-shaped flyer was unlike any commercial or military aircraft he'd ever seen before.
