U.S. officials are looking into reports that in the frantic evacuation of desperate Afghans from Kabul, older men were admitted together with young girls they claimed as 'brides' or otherwise sexually abused.
U.S. officials at intake centers in the United Arab Emirates and in Wisconsin have identified numerous incidents in which Afghan girls have been presented to authorities as the 'wives' of much older men.
While child marriage is not uncommon in Afghanistan, the U.S. has strict policies against human trafficking that include prosecutions for offenders and sanctions for countries that don't crack down on it.

Who'd have thought that this would happen? Everybody without a University education. They'll start attacking children in the countries that have given them sanctuary. They can't help it. The State Department employees already know what they want to do. They want political back up. They do not want to be like a spider hanging by a thread with their ass in the wind.
They deny them entry and watch. Give it 3 days. Some person or groups will call them Islamophobes.
Some of those people and groups will be lily white, stink ass professors. Others will be unindicted Muslim groups from South Florida, After awhile CAIR will join in. then Rashida and Ilhan Omar will shrilly join in. After a year or two the moderates like Joe will join in.
40% to 90% of the male population will join them. I do not see the strident Code Pink riding to the rescue.
In 6th grade I had a classmate get married to an adult male. The girl was from a good family. TO attend the school was the equivalent of attending a an East Coast school. She was Jewish and got bullied a lot. She pretty well developed. Overhearing the teachers, she apparently liked married life. She had status and was not bullied. While mean and women are segregated in some Jewish sects, it is not like Pashtunland.
Jerry Lee Lewis married a 13 year old. He was ostracized. I use that example to show it happens or happened in America more or less within our life times.
Most girls are not as developed as those examples above. Getting pregnant at a younger age leads to low birth weight babies, higher infant mortality, fatty liver and a host of other bad outcomes.
These Afghans will get lawyers and will point to Saudis and maybe others, who have multiple wives and are admitted into the US. They will DEMAND EQUALITY under the law. So the State Department wants back up. Joe Biden will not give it. He is a vicious pit fighter in a smoke filled back room, but as a real leader he is a coward. You think Mittens or The Turtle will give back up?
