* Footage appears to show Taliban fighters raising the group's flag in the province

* It was the last holdout after the militants swept through Afghanistan last month

* On Sunday, Massoud said he would stop fighting with the Taliban and offered peace talks but the Taliban said NRF fighters must surrender or die

The leader of the Afghan resistance movement has called for a 'national uprising' against the Taliban after the militants claimed to have captured the province of Panjshir.

The mountainous region bordering Tajikistan was the last anti-Taliban holdout since the militants' blitz across the country last month.
