The Hill: UN urges release of Afghanistan's frozen assets to prevent 'severe economic downturn'

Whatever the UN recommends, the opposite is likely a better choice. Let the little shit hole countries that now comprise much of the UN membership pay for their schemes. But alas, big mouths, little pockets.
Naivety or accomplice?
If the United Nations is prepared to give the money it does not have for the safety of its own personnel, it could also demand the release of American hostages.
Every Western political body on the planet is standing in line to pay the Taliban ransom for abandoned westerners in Afghanistan. Betcha the Taliban never release these hostages. It'd be like giving back the Golden Goose.
/good job Mr. President.
